Differential control device

Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the frequency of the limitation and releasing of differential movement and increase the durability of a differential limiting mechanism by limiting the differential movement of a differential device in accordance with the difference in rotating speed between rear and left wheels while releasing the limitation of said differential movement in accordance with the difference in rotating speed between front and rear wheels. CONSTITUTION: A differential control device 10 controls the differential movement of a differential device in a vehicle in which front and rear and right and left wheels are driven by a differential device having a differential limiting mechanism 12. In this case, the differential control device 10 consists of detecting means 16 through 22 for detecting the rotating speed of the front and rear and right and left wheels, a controller 24 into which the detected signals from the detecting means 16 through 22 are inputted, and an operating means 26 for operating the differential limiting mechanism 12. And, the operating means 26 consists of a liquid pump 64, an unload relief valve 66, an accumulator 68, a current controlling pressure-reducing valve 70, and a check valve 72. Thereby, a differential movement can be limited in accordance with the difference in rotating speed of the right and left wheels while releasing the limitation of the differential movement in accordance with the difference in rotating speed of the front and rear wheels.
